Mental Health Services for
Residents

It is not uncommon for residents to find themselves in need of professional mental health intervention. Below are several resources that may be helpful.

  • ProHealth offers a range of services through their Employee Assistance Program through Empathia. More information can be found on the ProHealth intranet, at (800) 634-6433, or mylifematters.com , password PHCI1.
These services are considered “prediagnostic” and therefore are not shared with one’s employer, insurance carrier, or the state medical board.

  • Marvin, a telehealth service that has contracted with ProHealth Care. Get started here. Appointments available 24/7. First session free for ProHealth physicians, remaining sessions billed through insurance or a sliding scale. Reach out to user-success@meetmarvin.com with questions.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider other providers; check with your insurance for coverage information.

  • You can also reach out to the national Physician Support Line at (888) 409-0141 (or physiciansupportline.com). It is free and confidential support line staffed by 800+ volunteer psychiatrists, open 7 days a week 8:00am - 12:00am ET. Support by doctors for doctors. No appointment is necessary, just call.

  • If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. These services are available 24/7 by call, text, or chat.
