Paige Biesterfeld, MD

Professional Interests

  • I enjoy caring for patients and families from different backgrounds and throughout all life stages. My more specific professional interests within family medicine include women's health and obstetrics, addiction medicine, procedures, and pediatrics.

Personal Interests

  • I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, daughter and dogs Lyla (Corgi) and Moose (German Shepherd x Border Collie Mix). I love taking nature walks, reading, playing pickleball, and discovering new restaurants and coffee cafes with friends and family.


Joseph Grove, MD

Professional Interests

  • My goal is to build lasting relationships with patients and their families by taking a compassionate, whole-person approach to care. I strive to support both physical and mental well-being, recognizing that every patient’s health journey is unique. I aim to be a trusted resource and partner, empowering patients with the knowledge and guidance they need to make informed decisions about their care.

Personal Interests

  • Fun fact: before medical school I did dinosaur / paleontology research for 6 years working in both Montana and Wyoming. I love staying active and being outdoors, particularly visiting Minnesota’s state parks and exploring the North Shore. In addition to that, I love lifting weights and running - having completed 4 marathons while in medical school. I am also a huge book nerd, having read all of Dostoevsky’s works and all the Dune books. Other than being active, I love staying at home with my partner and our two cats while we complete household projects and play card games.


Sarah Jaggernauth, MD

Professional Interests

  • I chose family medicine because it offers the unique opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families while providing care across every stage of life. I am passionate about caring for individuals of all ages, from newborns to older adults, and value the continuity that comes from partnering with patients throughout their healthcare journeys.

Personal Interests

  • I love knitting, embroidery, and going on walks with my husband. In my free time, I'm usually working on a craft or reading a book.


Abbigail Miller, MD
St. George’s University School of Medicine

Professional Interests

  • My goal is to build a personal connection with each patient. I feel this is the best approach to diagnosing and treating conditions, including any behavioral health concerns. Knowing each patient’s personal health goals allows me to help them with prevention efforts so they can live their best life.

Personal Interests

  • I love to play hockey and pickleball, go skiing/snowboarding or hiking, then come home to a cup of hot tea or coffee and cuddle up with my dog and a good book. I also enjoy video and board games, crochet, playing my violin or going for a cruise on my motorcycle.


Cristina Olvera-Jaramillo, MD

Professional Interests

  • I believe good care starts with listening and that a patient’s concerns, goals and priorities should always guide their care. My approach is built on partnership, and I will work together with each patient to create a treatment plan that best fits their individual needs. I strive to treat every patient with the same kindness, respect and compassion that I would want for my own family.

Personal Interests

  • During my spare time, I love kickboxing and practicing martial arts with my dad. I also enjoy studying Japanese, something I worked on before and during medical school, and I hope to continue learning it or even add another language someday. My family is from Waukesha, so I love spending time with them whenever I can—whether that means watching Netflix, cooking, playing with the dogs, or enjoying a big boxing match together!


Marie Wedepohl, MD

Professional Interests

  • I chose family medicine because I love working with people of all ages and managing their health throughout their lifetime. Getting to know each patient allows me to partner with them to provide care tailored to their goals and preferences. Through education and tools, I want to empower individuals to address their immediate needs and support their long-term well-being.

Personal Interests

  • In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog. I enjoy rock climbing, traveling, watching women’s wrestling, taking care of my houseplants, and staying active outdoors.

Emily Beaver, MD
University of Kansas School of Medicine

Professional Interests

  • I chose family medicine first and foremost to build lasting relationships with patients and their families, but also because I am excited to maintain a wide breadth of medicine in my future practice. My specific professional interests within family medicine include advocacy, women’s health and obstetrics, preventative medicine, and education.

Personal Interests

  • I enjoy spending time with my husband and cats, trying new restaurants, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and visiting national parks.


Ana Clavijo, MD
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine

Professional Interests

  • I became a family medicine physician because I am passionate about providing comprehensive, continuous care that addresses all aspects of long-term health including physical, emotional, and social factors. By building strong relationships with my patients, I hope to understand their needs and work together for their well-being.

Personal Interests

  • I love knitting and crochet, baking with my sourdough starter, and trying out new recipes. In my free time, I'm usually exploring new coffee shops, going antiquing, and spending time with my 2 cats and husband. 


Justin Ferkin, DO
Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine

Professional Interests

  • I'm interested in caring for patients of all ages and stages of life, with particular focus on urgent and emergency care, obstetrics, hospital medicine, and procedures. I enjoy the variety that comes with managing acute issues, following patients through complex care, and being involved in all aspects of their health.

Personal Interests

  • Outside of medicine, I enjoy volleyball, golf, and lifting weights. I also enjoy grilling out and spending time with my significant other, our daughter, and our animals.


Danielle Jones, MD

Professional Interests

  • I enjoy helping people of all ages achieve and maintain health by addressing their physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. I hope to treat each patient as a whole person, fostering a compassionate and collaborative relationship with them and their families. I especially enjoy pediatrics, OB care, caring for the elderly, and learning more about integrative health.

Personal Interests

  • I enjoy hiking, Zumba, yoga, reading, and playing the piano, clarinet, and ukulele. In my free time you can usually find me exploring the outdoors with my husband.

  • I enjoy taking care of patients and families from all different backgrounds and throughout all stages of life. I prioritize getting to know my patients well, in order to effectively take care of them. I strive to form a strong partnership with my patients and families by taking the time to listen, talking through all options, and working with them towards fulfilling their health goals. I have specific interests in women's health, obstetrics, and geriatric care. 

Personal Interests

  • In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and Australian shepherd. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, reading, and knitting.


Alison Sedmak, MD

Professional Interests

  • My clinical style is comprised of shared decision making and meeting my patients where they're at. I recognize that life can get in the way of optimal health and do my best to consider social circumstances when helping people get the care they need.

Personal Interests

  • In my personal life, I enjoy a variety of creative hobbies including sewing and painting. I also like learning to identify and use wild plants and herbs. On a typical night, I am usually found under a blanket eating popcorn and playing games.

  • I strive to care for my patients and their families using a whole-person approach, taking into account physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being. I am passionate about women’s health, including obstetrics, perinatal mental health, and preventive medicine.

Personal Interests

  • In my free time, I enjoy long distance running, film photography, reading non-fiction and playing tennis with my husband.

  • As a primary care physician, I am committed to providing comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages. Believing that prevention is key to long-term health, I emphasize the importance of lifestyle interventions and the health of the mind, body, and spirit to support overall well-being. Through education, support, and guidance, I strive to empower patients to make informed choices that lead to happier and healthier lives.  

Personal Interests

  • I enjoy cooking, baking, golfing, and running. In the winter, you can find me and my husband up north ice fishing and snowmobiling.

  • I enjoy learning about my patients as individuals, which helps me to develop health recommendations that make the most sense for each unique person. I believe that it is my responsibility to teach patients about their health so that they feel comfortable partnering with me in their medical care.

  • In my free time, I like playing board games, figure skating, and watching football, hockey, and soccer.

Professional Interests

  • Family medicine provides a unique opportunity to create a partnership with patients during any stage of life. My goal is to have open conversations with people to create health goals as a team. I am passionate about listening to each patient’s story to create trust and understanding. I have specific interests in women’s health, obstetrics, and treating families as a whole.

Personal Interests

  • In my spare time, I enjoy game nights, reading, crocheting, doing crafts, watching sports, and getting involved in community activities. I also love to spoil my nephew whenever I can.


Bryn Sutherland, MD - Chief Resident

Professional Interests

  • I chose to go into Family Medicine in order to take care of people throughout their lives and to have longterm relationships with patients. So far in my training, I’ve found a lot of joy in women’s health, OB, and LGBTQ+ medicine. I am so excited to continue working with patients by focusing on their goals and promoting a health-at-every-size model of care.

Personal Interests

  • I enjoy knitting & crocheting, exploring Milwaukee neighborhoods and parks, spending time with my wobbly cat, Shakey, visiting friends & family, learning Spanish, and reading books.


Audrey Valentine, MD

Professional Interests

  • I became a family medicine physician because I want to build long-term relationships with patients and their families. I love taking the time to learn each patient’s story and working together on equal footing to build a healthcare plan that is suited to their goals. I believe in treating patients with a holistic approach while taking into account the mental, emotional, and social wellbeing of each individual as well as their physical health. I am especially passionate about mental health, addiction medicine, LGBTQ+ health, and geriatrics.

Personal Interests

  • Outside of medicine, I enjoy cuddling with my cat, Levi, while watching movies and anime. I also love finding new recipes, traveling, rock climbing and attending live music events.
